Preschool and Day Care in Burien and Kent

INFANTS

3 – 12 months old

Personalized care for each infant based on his or her unique schedule, nutritional guidelines, and any other special attention he/she requires. Focused on keeping your baby happy, engaged, and secure in a home-like environment. Parents are kept up to date with a daily sheet that reports feeding times/amounts, diaper changes, nap times, and activities that occurred each day. The staff is responsive to each parent’s concerns and suggestions and baby’s achievements are joyfully shared.

TODDLERS

1 – 2½ years old

This nurturing environment provides the structure that allows the students to grow and learn while feeling safe and comfortable. Students are given daily opportunities to explore and learn through age appropriate toys and projects. Children in the Toddler Classroom are encouraged to try to use their words to express their needs and wants. The activities in the Toddler Classroom are developed to create learning experiences and social experiences through play, projects, and activities.

PRESCHOOL

2½ – 4½ years old

Investigation! Exploration! and Discovery! Our Preschool rooms are where active and enthusiastic children can refine and expand their skills and knowledge. Through intentional teaching practices, purposefully-designed learning environments, and enriched activities, teachers ensure preschoolers have joyful, appropriate, and meaningful learning experiences that lead to success in school and in life.

PRE-KINDERGARTEN

4½ to 6 year-olds

Our Pre-Kindergarten program helps children advance skills in core pre-academic areas such as science, literacy, math, as well as in other crucial areas such as art, technology learning, social and emotional well-being, and health and wellness. The children are exposed to a diverse array of learning opportunities, thereby helping them to thrive in all areas of child development, complex problem solving, creative thinking, empathetic collaboration, curious investigation, and incisive decision making.
